Apple Pie Bourbon Cocktail

Do you ever take a sip of a cocktail and just can’t believe how delicious it is?? Well- this is THAT cocktail. I know it’s only Tuesday but I don’t know about you… I need a delicious Fall inspired cocktail to get me through today! What about you?

Ingredients

Scale

Apple Pie Simple Syrup:

1/2 cup dark brown sugar

1/2 cup water

1/2 apple- diced small

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmed

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cocktail:

2 oz Bourbon

1 oz apple pie simple syrup

Juice from 1/2 lemon

1 egg white

Instructions

First thing you want to do is make the delicious simple syrup. In a small pan over medium high add in the water, brown sugar, chopped apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Let it come to a simmer and cook, stirring often, for about 7 minutes

Once cooked take the pan off the heat and let it cool completely until room temperature

Once the simple syrup has cooled strain out the apple and it’s time to make the cocktail! (You can always make the simple syrup ahead of time)

In a shaker with ice add in the bourbon, apple pie simple syrup, lemon juice, and egg white

Shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds until its chilled and frothy

Strain into a glass (no ice) and garnish with an apple slice. Cheers!
