OK, canned cranberry sauce is delicious. By far one of my favorite things about the holidays. Leftover turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sandwiches? Uhhhh yes please, I’ll take 3 a day. Now, as easy as it is to just open that can of cranberry sauce, this is almost equally as easy and probably 100 times more delicious. I add the orange and cinnamon for an unexpected twist to make it unique but if you want to leave it out and just have it plain you’re more than welcome to do that. This recipe is so ridiculously easy that if you don’t make this for every holiday you should feel very ashamed of yourself.

Ingredients

Scale

2 bags fresh cranberries

2 cups water

2 cups granulated sugar

2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half

zest of 2 oranges

juice of 2 oranges

Instructions

In a pot over high heat add the cranberries, water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, zest, and juice

Stir around and let it come to a boil

As soon as it comes to a boil put on medium low heat and let simmer for 15 minutes stirring often

Once it has thickened up let cool and you’re ready to go. How ridiculously easy is that? Everyone will be very impressed. Happy Holidays everyone!!
