Ingredients

Scale

1 pound string beans
2 tablespoons sliced almonds
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
salt
pepper

Instructions

Ready for this quick and easy side dish recipe? In a sautee pan add water and bring to a boil
Once the water comes to a boil add in the green beans and cook about 3-5 minutes, until the green beans are a bright green. Strain and add the green beans into a bowl with water and ice to stop them from cooking any further
Return the dry pan back to the burner on medium high heat and add the almonds, stirring regularly until toasted, about 5 minutes. Pour the almonds onto a plate and set aside
To the pan over medium high heat melt the butter
Once melted add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute
Add the strained green beans, salt, and pepper to the pan and saute until heated through, about 2 minutes
To the green beans add the toasted almonds as well as the chopped fresh tarragon and stir to combine everything
That’s it! Once mixed together you are ready to eat this delicious and very different side dish. Enjoy!
