Ingredients

Scale

Simple Syrup:

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1 pint blueberries

710 basil leaves, torn

Cocktail:

1 oz simple syrup

Juice from 1/2 lime

2 oz vodka

Ginger beer

Instructions

The first thing you want to do is make the simple syrup. In a small pan over medium high heat add the water, sugar, blueberries, and basil leaves. Let it come up to a simmer, cook 5 minutes or until the blueberries pop, then take off the heat and let the syrup cook completely

In a glass (or copper mug) add in the simple syrup, lime, and vodka. Give it a good stir to combine

Fill the glass with crushed ice, top with ginger beer, and garnish with a spring of basil. How easy is that? Cheers!
