As if grilled cheese wasn’t delicious and perfect already- I made this recipe! Packed with all that cheesy goodness and a punch of Fall. It’s as yummy as a grilled cheese can get and will get you in a serious Fall mood.
2 slices good quality bread
Room temperature salted butter
Gruyere cheese, grated
Sharp white cheddar, grated
1 tablespoon apple butter
Fresh thyme leaves
Heat up a griddle pan or flat skillet over medium
Butter both slices of bread on one side
To the sides of the bread that are not buttered add the grated cheese, pepper and fresh thyme. Spread the apple butter on one of the slices and put the sandwich together
Lightly butter the hot pan and add the sandwich
Let it cook until golden brown on one side, then flip and do the same on the other side
Cut in half, and devour! How easy is that?
