Boozy Basil Lemonade Popsicles

When its SUPER hot out (like, everyday here) I can’t help but crave something cold- and boozy! Why not make a delicious boozy popsicle to satisfy every craving you have this Summer. You’ll feel like a little kid again!

  • Author: Blakely Trettenero
  • Yield: 8 popsicles 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

2030 fresh basil leaves, torn

Juice of 6 lemons

3 oz Vodka of choice

Instructions

The first thing you want to do is make the simple syrup. In a small pan over medium high heat add the water and sugar. Let it come to a simmer and dissolve all of the sugar

Once all of the sugar has dissolved take it off the heat and add in the torn basil leaves. Let it come to room temperature

In a bowl strain in the cooled simple syrup to remove all of the basil. To the simple syrup add in the lemon juice and vodka. Stir to combine

Carefully pour into a popsicle mold, put a fresh basil leaf or thinly sliced lemon, popsicle sticks and put into a freezer

Let them freeze at least 4 hours or overnight

That’s it! How easy are those?! They are very zingy so if you’d like you can add it to a glass and top with champagne or club soda with more vodka πŸ˜‰ Happy Summer!
