Ingredients

Scale

Burger

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, minced
2 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup Guinness beer
salt
pepper
English muffin (or any bun of choice)
Cooked bacon slices
Thick sliced Irish Cheddar Cheese

Guinness Ketchup

1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Guinness beer

Instructions

In a bowl add the ground beef, minced onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Guinness beer, salt, and pepper. Using your hand gently mix until combined and form equal patties. If you want a larger burger make 3 patties, but you can make 4 out of this recipe
Refrigerate the patties for one hour
Heat up your grill or grill pan on high heat
Add the patties to the heated grill, cooking 5-7 minutes on one side before flipping
If you want to toast your english muffin, add it to the grill now
Cook another 3-5 minutes and then add the cheddar on top to let it start to melt. Cook another minute or so for medium
While that’s cooking make the ketchup. In a small bowl combine the ketchup and Guinness and set aside
Now it’s time to assemble! To the toasted English muffin add the cooked burger, top it with the Guinness ketchup, bacon, and any topping you’d like
That’s it! A different and DELICIOUS St. Patrick’s Day recipe ( or any time of the year ) that will make any leprechaun happy
