Irish Julep

Looking to drink something other than green beer this St. Patricks Day? Well, try my Irish Julep! It’s an Irish twist on a classic Mint Julep and totally delicious. Sláinte!

Ingredients

Scale

10 fresh mint leaves
3 oz Jameson Whisky
1 1/2 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water brought to a simmer then cooled)
Crushed Ice
Mint sprig

Instructions

In a shaker muddle together the mint, simple syrup, and Jameson
Pour into a glass filled with crushed ice and top it with a fresh mint sprig
That’s it! How easy is that? Careful to not drink too many or else you’ll be seeing Leprechauns
