Spiced Pomegranate Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

Spiced Pomegranate Syrup:

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup Pomegranate juice

1 spring rosemary

2 cinnamon sticks

Cocktail:

1 1/2 oz whiskey or bourbon of choice

1/2 oz spiced pomegranate syrup

Juice of 1/2 lemon

2 dashes bitter

Instructions

First thing you need to do is make the syrup! In a small saucepan over medium high heat add the sugar, juice, rosemary spring, and the 2 sticks of cinnamon that you break slightly with your hand

Let it come to a simmer, stir often, and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes

Let it cool completely and then strain out the solids 

In a cocktail shaker with ice add the bourbon, syrup, bitters, and lemon juice

Shake until chilled and serve over a large ice cube
