Ok, I’m so excited about this because it is my first ever ‘Favorite Things’ post! In this section I’m going to tell you guys all of my favorite ingredients, companies, spices, you name it! I get a lot of questions from people asking about my favorite things so when I re-did my site I made sure to put a section dedicated to all of my favorite things!
I’m starting off my first one with a complete bang too. I love the concept of monthly subscriptions with food, wine, etc but this takes it to a whole new level. My friends over at Raw Spice Bar have come up with the greatest idea: small batch, freshly ground spices from all over the world. Now, as you all know I’m addicted to traveling and every time I go anywhere I always try and go to the local market and pick up spices to use when I”m home. Well, this brings that directly to your doorstep without ever having to leave your house! Each quarter (for only $26!!) they pick a region and create 3-4 spice blends along with delicious and easy recipes and description of the spices. As soon as I opened my July subscription I was instantly transported to a small BBQ restaurant in Memphis. The smoky aroma from the “Applewood Smoked Salt” and the “Memphis Dry Rib Rub” got me excited for my next BBQ and possible trip to Memphis.
This company is awesome and I highly recommend it to all of you food lovers out there who are wanting to spice it up a little. The spice blends are enough for 6-8 people so you can have a themed dinner party once a month! Obsessed. Make sure you check them out and give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.
