Slutty Brownies
What happens when you take a cookie then add a layer of Oreos and another layer of chocolatey brownies? You get the best and most sinful dessert EVER. This surprisingly easy dessert is a show stopper that people will beg for.
Ingredients
Cookie Dough
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Brownie Batter
1/2 cup unsalted butter
7 tablespoons good quality cocoa powder
1 cup white granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips
16 oreos
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
Line an 8×8 baking pan with foil and lightly grease. Set aside
First make the cookie dough. In a bowl cream together the butter and sugars until smooth
Add the egg and vanilla and mix again
Add in the all purpose flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until just combined
Add chocolate chips and stir once more
Add the cookie dough to the bottom of the pan, pressing down so it makes an even layer on the bottom
To the top of the cookie dough add the Oreos and set aside while you make the brownie batter
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted remove from the heat
Stir the cocoa powder and sugar into the melted butter and mix until combined
Add the eggs and vanilla and mix completely
Stir in the flour and chocolate chips
Once completely mixed add to the top of the Oreos, spreading the top evenly
Sprinkle the top with more chocolate chips and put into your preheated oven
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool completely before cutting
Enjoy this naughty dessert
Light years ago I was the former personal chef to Les Chaînes drs Rôtisseurs which is Yhe American Cordon Bleu Society. Love The Slitry Brownies but substituted Paul
NEWMAN’s Organic Chocolate Filled NewmanO’s. Mon dieu. Love your site ! One quickie please don’t be insulted I intend to help only.. Hors d’œuvre is already pluralized without the extra s… truly my French Mothee used to dig her silk wrapped manicured nails into my neck should I ever make errors in French and I vividly remember the time I was left in charge of utilizing my artistic skills in hand -printing menus for Dinner Parties held at our very formally run 1702 Plantation House just outside of Charleston, SC and I had to redo them all exquisitely by hand with my little water coloured artistic touches a la Manet from his salad days when he’d hand-paint and fashion menus which mother collected and still has adorning the butler’s pantry paneled walls at the plantation house… just never forgot and you deserve the best with your convivial array of delicacies so keep up the fabulously executed work just drop the ‘s’ for hors d’œuvre…
All best,
Will Gamble @thespahome®
