SPICY LIME CILANTRO SHRIMP*
2014-10-10 04:42:45

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 tablespoon Indonesian Sambal sauce (you could use sriracha if you can't find the sambal chillies)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 pound large uncooked shrimp
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- In the mood for something delicious that you can make in 5 minutes? Well, here is your recipe! These are the perfect appetizer for game days... or any day really. You can make them in about 6 minutes, which is about the same time as a commercial nowadays. These are jam packed with flavor and pack a little heat which I love washing down with a cold glass of white wine. Or, if you're a manly man an ice cold beer. Either will suffice. First thing you want to do is melt your butter in a pan. Add the garlic and let cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the lime juice, chilies, salt, and pepper. Stir together to combine. Add the uncooked shrimp and cook about 1 minute on each side. They will start to curl up. You don't want to overcook the shrimp! Once the shrimp are cooked take off the heat and add the chopped cilantro, toss, and put on a serving plate. You might want to serve with napkins and an extra plate for shells. Warning: these WILL go fast. Enjoy!
