Caramelized Onion & Bacon Dip*
Whenever I’m asked to bring over an appetizer I always love bringing a good dip. All it takes is a few ingredients to make something delicious. This recipe I made up because I love the following things: caramelized onions, bacon, and goat cheese. I figured if I mixed them all together it had to be delicious. Well, guess what… I was right. So easy an anyone can make it.

Ingredients
  1. 2 tablespoons butter
  2. 2 large sweet onions, sliced thin
  3. 2 cups sour cream
  4. 6 oz goat cheese, room temperature
  5. 3-4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  6. salt
  7. pepper
  8. crackers and fresh veggies for dipping
Instructions
  1. Whenever I’m asked to bring over an appetizer I always love bringing a good dip. All it takes is a few ingredients to make something delicious. This recipe I made up because I love the following things: caramelized onions, bacon, and goat cheese. I figured if I mixed them all together it had to be delicious. Well, guess what… I was right. So easy an anyone can make it.
  2. In a pan over medium high heat melt the butter and add the sliced onions. This is the hardest part of the entire recipe.
  3. Cook, stirring every few minutes, until the onions are a golden brown. This will take about 20 minutes or so.
  4. Once the onions are caramelized put them aside and let them cool completely.
  5. Once cooled add the onions, cooked and chopped bacon, sour cream, goat cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix together completely.
  6. Put in a serving bowl and serve with crackers and fresh veggies. Enjoy!
